BTS busted out a song ARMY have been waiting years to hear live during the K-pop supergroup’s Sunday night (July 12) show at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. According to fan video from the gig, RM told the crowd, “We have to sing this together,” before telling the DJ to cue up “Louder Than Bombs” and shouting, “C’mon now let’s go!” to wild whoops from the audience.

The beat then dropped on the song from the group’s 2020 studio album, Map of the Soul: 7, which they had never performed in concert before. The ARMY reaction was off the charts, with a video showing fans screaming so loudly when the bass-heavy beat dropped that it was hard at times to hear the singer’s vocals on the slow jam.

RM needn’t have asked for help, as ARMY fully had their back, shouting out the chorus as confetti rained down around bandmates Jung Kook, V, Jimin, Suga, Jin and j-hope. The song never got its proper live debut because its release came just before the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the cancellation of a planned global tour in support of the LP. After their 2021-2022 Permission to Dance on Stage tour, BTS went on a break beginning in June 2022 to focus on solo projects and give members time to complete their mandatory South Korean military service.

The “Louder Than Bombs” live debut was the latest surprise track BTS has added to the tour in support of their ARIRANG comeback album. Sunday night’s show also featured a live performance of “Blood Sweat & Tears” from BTS’ second studio album, 2016’s Wings, while the previous night’s show on Saturday featured surprise songs “Silver Spoon” from their 2015 The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2 EP and “Pied Piper” from their 2017 LOVE YOURSELF: HER EP.

BTS’ ARIRANG tour will move on to France next with a pair of shows at Stade de France in Saint-Denis on Friday (July 17) and Saturday (July 18). After the first ARIRANG single, “SWIM,” ran up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April, the group’s label announced on Monday (July 13) that the next single from the collection will be the booming Ryan-Tedder co-written jam “Normal.”
