The series finale of The Way Home is rapidly approaching, and stars Chyler Leigh and Sadie Laflamme-Snow teased what fans can expect from the end of the Hallmark show.
When Leigh and Laflamme-Snow, who play mother-daughter duo Kat and Alice Landry on the show, caught up with SheKnows, they reflected on the emotional end of the show, which airs on June 21.
“Chyler had the last shot of the last day,” Laflamme-Snow recalled. “I can’t tell if it would be harder to be in the scene or watching it unfold, but everyone was there, so it was very emotional.”
“Each season, when we ended, we all tried to stay around to clap the other actors out,” Leigh said. “We all stuck around for [the last scene],” Leigh added, teasing that the final shot was her face.
As for how the stars would describe the finale of The Way Home, Leigh said, “Family, tears, smiles,” while Laflamme-Snow paid tribute to her, Leigh and Andie MacDowell’s characters by saying, “Del, Kat, Alice.”
The Way Home’s series finale airs on June 21 and will conclude the show’s four seasons of time-travelling adventures. When we left off, Kat (Leigh) and Elliot (Evan Williams) had failed to stop the explosion at the Lingermore party in 1925. A battle between Elliot’s mom, Tessa (Megan Follows), and officers, including Cliff (Dan Jeannotte), led to Elliot getting shot and the explosion. The episode ended with Kat dragging Elliot away.
