If you’ve been curious about MENTOR but haven’t taken the plunge, this webinar is for you.

Join the CP Research Network team including (clockwise from top left) Drs. Liz Boyer, Joyce Trost, business manager Cori Sparks and MENTOR engagement coordinator Fayza Jaleel (not pictured) along with NCHPAD strategist Chelsea Henderson to learn about the MENTOR program.

MENTOR – Mindfulness, Exercise, Nutrition to Optimize Resilience – is a free, virtual 8-week wellbeing program from the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) designed for adults with physical disabilities and chronic conditions. Through mindfulness, adaptive exercise, nutrition education, and health coaching, MENTOR takes a whole-person approach to improving health and wellbeing.

In 2021, CP Research Network partnered with National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) the creators of the MENTOR wellness program, to tune this course to adults with cerebral palsy. Nine pilot attendees from the CP Research Network community took the course and offered extensive feedback to the program creators for how it should change to serve the CP community best.  NCHPAD listened.

And the program just got even better. In addition to the live program, MENTOR now offers an On-Demand option that allows participants to access program content on their own schedule while still benefiting from the same evidence-informed wellbeing approach. Prefer a live group with a set schedule? That option is still available as well.

Grab a friend and join us on Monday, June 29 at 8:00 PM ET to learn more about the program, hear updates from the CP Research Network and NCHPAD staff, explore both the Live and On-Demand MENTOR options, and listen to MENTOR alumni share their experiences. You’ll get to weigh in on your own wellness habits through quick, interactive surveys — apps, routines, subscriptions you’ve loved or ditched.

Following the webinar, attendees who would like additional information or assistance with enrollment will have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one conversation with members of the CPRN recruitment team. You can also contact us at mentor-staff@cprn.org.

Whether you’re considering enrollment or simply want to learn more about MENTOR, we hope you’ll join us!
