So last night I took out a taxi, not one of the vans I’ve been getting for Months, one of the Camrys.

I was at a pickup, got the customers loaded and pushed the ignition but the car, it wouldn’t go into drive.

Im starting to panic, nothing worse then losing a fare AND having to get a tow from a hotel.

I call dispatch to get another cab sent out while I’m on the phone the valet says..

“Push your break”

He reaches in my window pushing the ignition switch.

burrring the engine comes on.

so I have to explain to dispatch that I don’t need them send another taxi and a tow truck and WHY! meanwhile my customers think it’s hilarious.

im a fricken idiot, literally mid conversation with customers in the car for a $70 fare and I was literally making the call to get a different taxi sent out.

Before calling tow truck make sure the ignition is on….
