Local Talk Radio fans are rallying behind a frequent caller over the years who recently died.

Almost $6,000 of a $7,000 GoFundMe campaign has been raised.

It says, "For years, the unmistakable voice of Nature Boy was a staple of Sport Talk and the Talk Radio 102.3 family. His passion for the games and his dedication to the airwaves brought our community together, one phone call at a time. On July 3rd, we lost that familiar voice when Nature Boy passed away due to heat exposure.

While he spent his life bringing energy and joy to our radios, his family is now facing a quiet, urgent hardship at home.

"To honor Nature Boy’s memory and care for the mother he left behind, we are rallying the community to help restore her home. Our goal is to fund the installation of a reliable heating and air conditioning unit and cover critical home repairs, including fixing a large, unsafe hole in the bathroom flooring. These improvements are essential for her safety, comfort, and peace of mind, especially as she navigates this difficult time.
