Following his final broadcast as WRCB-TV Local 3's morning anchor, Paul Shahen is turning his focus to the next chapter of his career as owner of Axium Landscapes, a Chattanooga-based landscape design and outdoor living company.

Earlier this year, Mr. Shahen acquired VividScapes and rebranded the company as Axium Landscapes, building on the company's establishedreputation while introducing a renewed vision for exceptional outdoor living throughout the Chattanooga area.

After serving the Tennessee Valley as both morning anchor and previously as sports director, Mr. Shahen has spent the past several months reflecting on what comes next. He said the transition has reinforced what's most important to him.

“I've been praying about it, and I believe the timing is right," said Mr. Shahen. "It allows me to focus on what I believe I'm called to do right now: be the best father I can be, grow Axium Landscapes, and pursue my passion for real estate development.”

While this season of change brings mixed emotions, Mr. Shahen said his passion for serving the Chattanooga community remains unchanged.

"It's been an incredible privilege to tell the stories of this community and connect with viewers over the years," he said. "I'm deeply gratefulfor the friendships, experiences, and support I've received. I'm excited for what's ahead. Through Axium Landscapes, I have the opportunity to continue serving Chattanooga by creating outdoor spaces where families can gather, relax, and make memories for years to come."

Axium Landscapes specializes in custom landscape design, outdoor living spaces, patios, retaining walls, landscape lighting, drainage solutions, water features, irrigation systems, and complete landscape transformations for residential and commercial properties throughout Chattanooga and the surrounding region.

"My career has always been about building relationships," he said. "That doesn't change. Whether I was sharing stories on the morning news or meeting with a homeowner about their vision for an outdoor space, it's always about listening, serving people well, and earning their trust."
