Local Michael Seabolt Band will be featured June 19 at the Nokian Tyres Summer Nights
concert at the Rhea County Courthouse.

The band primarily plays classic rock from the ’70s and ’80s. Michael Seabolt, a long-time
Spring City resident, is the band’s founder, namesake and lead guitarist. James Brand from
Spring City plays the drums. Russ Wise from Evensville is the lead singer. Dayton native Adam
Suttles plays bass guitar. Jackie Wagoner McAbee lives in Dayton and is a lead singer and
backup vocalist.

Seabolt’s guitar career was with other bands for decades. In 2019, he decided to form his own
classic rock band to focus on the exact tunes he truly enjoyed playing lead and rhythm guitar
on. Partnering with drummer, James Brand, they finally got the right people together that
cemented their focus and they continue to enjoy playing the tunes crowds love to hear.

MSB is a cover band performing primarily in Southeast Tennessee and playing hits like “Lay It
On the Line,” “Sunshine of Your Love,” “Homesick” and “Working For the Weekend." But it is
also working on several original songs.

I’m proud to say that we practice weekly and add in new songs to our sets on a regular basis,”
Mr. Seabolt said. “We always want to bring some newness and a variety of tunes to our shows - we
are never stale.”

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. on the Rhea County Courthouse lawn and food trucks will be
available. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the opening of the seventh annual Nokian
Tyres Summer Nights concert series. The series is funded in part by the Tennessee Arts
Commission.

Officials said, "To raise awareness, Nokian Tyres will give away a set of tires on the last night of the festival. The company makes all-season and all-weather tires in Dayton and sells them throughout the United States and Canada.

"Nokian Tyres has supported the Summer Nights concert series since 2019, the same year it
opened its factory in Dayton. The Finnish tiremaker employs approximately 500 people at the
factory, which has won awards for its operations, workplace culture and sustainability."

“We are eager to support Nokian Tyres Summer Nights for the eighth year,” said Nokian Tyres
Senior Communications Manager Wes Boling. “It’s a chance to celebrate one of the many things
Finnish people have in common with Tennesseans - a love of good music and good time spent
outdoors with friends and family.”
