СпутникиРНSpaceXРоскосмосNASAISLAMABAD: Pakistan Customs has demonstrated exceptional performance in revenue collection for the month of June 2026, achieving a historic high of Rs 467 billion in total taxes on imports.
This marks a significant 33 percent increase compared to Rs 350.3 billion collected in the same month last year.
This success reflects the leadership of FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial, together with the dedication and professionalism of Pakistan Customs officers across the country, led by Member Customs Syed Shakeel Shah, whose intelligence-led operations, sustained anti-smuggling efforts, and vigilance at our Customs borders and ports throughout the country continue to protect national revenue and strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
Performance Highlights for the Month of June, 2026:
Pakistan Customs collected 467 billion in total taxes on imports marking a significant increase of 33 percent compared to Rs 350.3 billion in the same month last year.
Customs Duty collection reached Rs. 158 billion, a robust 24 percent growth over June 2025 (Rs.127 billion).
Customs Duty: Despite Tariff rationalization, the department surpassed its highest-ever monthly target of Rs.144 billion, achieving 110 percent of the goal by collecting 158 billion.
Annual Performance (Fiscal Year 2025-26):
Total taxes on imports for the fiscal year amounted to Rs. 4,692 billion, up 13.6 percent from Rs. 4,131 billion in the previous year.
Customs Duty totaled Rs. 1,331 billion, reflecting a 4 percent increase year-over-year and attaining 99 percent of the annual target.
Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) on imports surged by 20 percent, with collections rising to Rs. 752 billion compared to Rs. 628 billion last year.
Chairman FBR, Rashid Mahmood Langrial said “Surpassing the monthly target by a significant margin reflects our commitment to facilitating trade while ensuring optimal revenue collection for the national exchequer.”
“This outstanding performance is a testament to the efficiency, transparency, and digital transformation initiatives undertaken by Pakistan Customs,” said Syed Shakeel Shah, Member Customs Operations.
