The handbell teams of The ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School showcased exceptional teamwork and artistic energy on the stage of the 17th Hong Kong International Handbell Olympics, ringing out a beautiful melody of dreams with their fingertips!

In a highly competitive arena filled with talented performers, our handbell team Azure Bells achieved a brilliant result, winning the Honorary Gold Award in the Advanced Category with an outstanding score of 96 out of 100! Additionally, our other team, Cobalt Bells, also performed remarkably and earned a Gold Award in the Intermediate Category.

Mr. Bank WU, Chairperson of the Taiwan Handbell & Handchime Music Association and a judge for the event, spoke highly of our young musicians’ artistry. He shared that he could truly feel the incredible perseverance and dedication behind every “Lutheran” performer.

This honour is the fruit of the collective hard work of both teachers and students. Our team members would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the school for its unwavering support and cultivation along their musical journey, allowing them to shine brightly on the international stage.
