Following its impressive box office debut last weekend, Universal’s The Odyssey looks to easily dominate its sophomore frame with $81.5 million in ticket sales through July 26, according to new data from BoxOfficeReport.com. The tally could push the Christopher Nolan-directed actioner past $280 million across North American screens.

Disney’s live-action remake of Moana, starring Dwayne Johnson and Catherine Laga’aia, and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 should round out the weekend box office podium with $11.8 million and $11.3 million in respective revenue — the latter after six weekends.

Universal’s Monsters & Minions ($10.6 million) and Warner’s Evil Dead Burn ($2.6 million) are expected to bookend the new Bleecker Street release of the Broadway show Hadestown: The Musical, with a projected $8 million in ticket sales.

Box office returnees include A24’s The Invite with a projected $2.5 million in fifth weekend ticket sales; Angel Studios’ Young Washington ($2.4 million in projected fourth weekend revenue); and Focus Features’ enduring Obsession ($1.6 million in projected 11th weekend ticket sales). The latter began streaming on Peacock July 17.
