Musgraves has yet to address the canceled tour dates.
Kacey Musgraves gave no explanation for nixing three of her “Middle of Nowhere” tour dates — including opening night — just weeks before she was set to hit the road.
According to the Daily Mail, the Grammy-winning musician quietly cleared three shows — opening night in Chicago on Aug. 20, a Boston show on Aug. 29 and a Brooklyn performance on Sept. 2 — with fans only receiving a Ticketmaster email informing them of the cancelations.
Per the outlet, no explanation was given for the canceled shows.

The North American leg of her “Middle of Nowhere” tour was expected to launch in Chicago next month and hit 25 cities before winding things down in Seattle in late October.
In January 2027, she’s scheduled to perform in Australia before heading to England and Scotland in February.
Musgraves, 37, released her sixth studio album, “Middle of Nowhere,” on May 1.

She added, “We don’t linger in these transitional, empty spaces long enough and rush to define where or whatever is next. I became so at ease with being in the ‘middle of nowhere’ in many senses and sitting in the un-comfort of the undefined. I had a lot of time for creative ambling and leaning into myself in different ways; horses, humor, writing with my early collaborators again, and living out my very simple, inspired life between Texas, Tennessee, and Mexico.”

Earlier this week, Harry Styles canceled a concert at Estadio Morumbis in São Paulo, Brazil, due to a “health issue” — a month after collapsing on stage in England.
Just hours before the concert was set to begin on Tuesday, Live Nation Brasil wrote on X, “We deeply regret to inform you that the Harry Styles show scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at MorumBIS has been canceled due to a health issue on the tour.”

And in May, the Pussycat Dolls pulled the plug on their North American reunion tour dates due to rumored poor ticket sales.
Post Malone and Meghan Trainor have also canceled tour dates this year, and are said to have done so due to what’s been dubbed “Blue Dot Fever” — a term referencing blue dots showing available seats on Ticketmaster’s seating charts that’s become a euphemism for poor ticket sales.
