For The Frame and other Samsung TV models
Samsung's Art Store, now available across The Frame, LCD and OLED TVs, has surpassed 5000 artworks from more than 800 artists.
The milestone coincides with the addition of a new collection from Art Basel, now available in the Art Store. Called the ABB 2026 Collection, it features 24 works by artists exhibiting at Art Basel in Switzerland. Samsung TVs will also be used to showcase digital art throughout this year's Art Basel event.
It has also added 33 works from the Whitney Museum of American Art such as Edward Hopper's Early Sunday Morning (1930), Rockwell Kent's Moonlight, Winter (c. 1940), Agnes Pelton's Sea Change (1931), Joseph Stella's Luna Park (c. 1913) and Wayne Thiebaud's Pie Counter (1963).
Additionally, 51 pieces from Louvre were added including Eugène Delacroix’s “Liberty Leading the People,” Paolo Veronese’s “The Wedding Feast at Cana,” and Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’ “La Grande Odalisque”. These iconic works are complemented by paintings from European masters such as Caravaggio and Jacques-Louis David.
All of the new artworks are included with the Art Store subscription, which costs $6, £4 or €5 per month.
Samsung leads Art TV marketHisense and TCL have launched Canvas TV and Nxtvision as rivals to Samsung's The Frame – TVs that automatically display artwork when not in use. LG is planning to launch its own competitor, Gallery TV, later this year.
Samsung, however, still offers by far the largest library of traditional art, ranging from the Mona Lisa and Van Gogh to the Moomins.
For many years, Samsung's Art Store was exclusive to The Frame, but it has since expanded to all newer LCD TVs ('QLED', 'Neo QLED', 'micro RGB' etc.), micro-LED models and most recently select OLED models (S99H, S95H).
