Girls star Zosia Mamet is returning to HBO, joining the cast of Industry for the financial thriller’s upcoming fifth and final season.

She will play Carmen Dame, a fitness influencer-turned-wellness tech founder and CEO. Filming on the eight-episode final installment of the Bad Wolf-produced HBO/BBC drama is set to begin the first week of August in the UK.

After its breakthrough first season, Industry — which started off under the radar with a cast featuring largely young, unknown actors alongside Ken Leung — started to add big names each year: Jay Duplass (Season 2), Kit Harington (S3), Max Mingella, Kieran Shipka, Charlie Heaton and Claire Forlani (S4).

In Season 4, at the top of their game and living the lives they set out to have as Pierpoint grads, Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) are drawn into a high-stakes, globetrotting cat-and-mouse game when a splashy fintech darling bursts onto the London scene. As Yasmin navigates her relationship with tech founder Sir Henry Muck (Harington) and Harper is pulled into the orbit of enigmatic executive Whitney Halberstram (Minghella), their twisted friendship begins to warp and ignite under the pressure of money, power and the desire to be on top.

Jane Tranter, Kate Crowther and Ryan Rasmussen executive produce for Bad Wolf; Kathleen McCaffrey for Little Gems; and Rebecca Ferguson for BBC.

Mamet probably is best known for her roles on HBO’s Girls and on HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant. In TV, she also starred in Peacock’s Laid. Mamet, who has three movies coming up — All That She Wants, Artificial and Goodbye Girl — is repped by UTA, 3 Arts Entertainment and Weintraub Tobin Chediak.
