A rich blue within the joinery carries the scheme through the room, while upholstered stools add a bold accent. Alongside it, a dedicated corner with two armchairs creates an inviting place to gather, pause and slow the pace of the day.

An antique console with table lamps above it, alongside a large painting as we have used below, helps the kitchen feel less like a functional workspace and more reflective of the way we actually live.
