Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville and ONE4 Records have formed a new joint publishing venture called ONE4 Music, and Kentucky’s Hunter Flynn is the first signing.

“Troy [Tomlinson] and I share a deep respect for great songs and the people who write them, and our shared passion for developing great songwriters is at the core of ONE4 Music,” Brian White, co-founder and managing partner of ONE4, said in a statement. “Hunter is exactly the kind of songwriter we want to champion, a storyteller with a unique perspective and a gift for connecting with listeners. We’re proud to welcome him as our first signing.”

Tomlinson, who is UMPG Nashville’s chairman and CEO, added: “ONE4 Music is built on a long-standing friendship and a shared belief in putting songwriters first. What drew us to Hunter is the honesty in his writing. His foundation is strong, and we’re looking forward to supporting him as he continues to develop his voice as a songwriter.”

Flynn said, “I’m honored to be the first songwriter signed to ONE4 Music. Both Brain and Troy have impacted this business so much, and to have them believe in my songwriting enough to ask me to be the initial signing is an absolute honor and a privilege.”

Quinn XCII has signed a publishing deal with Prescription Songs. Born Mikael Temrowski, Quinn XCII has collaborated with Noah Kahan, AJR, Big Sean and more. As a solo artist, Quinn XCII has released the singles “Straightjacket,” “Kings of Summer” and “Love Me Mess,” each of which is certified Platinum.

“It’s an honor to be part of a company that has such a family feel to it with an equal amount of appreciation for songwriters,” Quinn XCII said in a statement. “I’m excited to continue this next chapter of making music alongside such extremely talented executives, artists and songwriters.”

Exceleration Music and NexTone have partnered to acquire the recording and publishing catalog of electronic music pioneer and member of the group Yellow Magic Orchestra, Ryuichi Sakamoto.

NexTone will oversee the catalog’s operations in Asia, while Exceleration Music will do so outside of Asia.

“NextTone is one of Japan’s most respected and forward-thinking music companies, a reputation that is richly deserved,” Charles Caldas, partner at Exceleration Music, said in a statement. “Partnering with them as joint custodians of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s music catalog is a landmark moment for Exceleration. Sakamoto was undoubtedly one of the great artists of his generation, transcending geographic and artistic boundaries to become a true global icon.”

Throughout his career, Sakamoto collaborated with David Bowie, David Byrne, Iggy Pop and more. Both NexTone and Exceleration will work with Sakamoto’s management company, KAB, to oversee posthumous releases from the catalog.

Jarrett Doherty, frontman of Jady, an alt-pop and rock duo, has signed a publishing deal with Reservoir. The new deal includes all of Doherty’s full catalog and future works. Doherty’s deal with Reservoir is the first signing through Reservoir’s new joint venture with Sam Tinnesz’s publishing company, Tinman.  

“A couple years ago I began writing with other people,” Doherty said in a statement. “Not far into that journey I met Sam Tinnesz and so enjoyed our time together. He has opened doors and relationships with people I could never even dream about collaborating with, so it only made sense to make it official. He brought us to Reservoir, and I am so excited to be a part of this team to continue to make music for our band Jady.”

John Ozier, executive vp of creative at Reservoir, said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Jarrett to the roster, as we begin this exciting new chapter working with Sam Tinnesz’ Tinman. Delmar has signed with Prescription Songs. Delmar, born Christian Carcamo and based out of Los Angeles, has collaborated with Bratty, Ivan Cornejo, Tommy Richman and more.

Chris Sligh has signed a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville in partnership with Ace High Music. He’s written songs for Bailey Zimmerman, Rascal Flatts and more, including Flatts’ Grammy-nominated song “Here Comes Goodbye.”

“Ace High is the publishing company we as writers dream of — attentive and challenging; cheerleaders and critics when they need to be; friends and champions,” Sligh said in a statement. “Travis, Poole and Abigail are all of the above. To partner with Sony and Ace High? Years ago, when I came back to music, my first dream publisher was Sony. I’m proud to call Ace High and Sony Music Publishing home!”

Latin music company TU Publishing has entered a joint venture with Reservoir, who will now serve as the publisher for all current and future works and for all catalogs acquired by  TU Publishing. Reservoir will also provide marketing and administrative services to the company.

TU Publishing was founded in 2025 by Denny Marte, who serves as the company’s catalog broker and A&R Executive.

“After years of working closely with Reservoir’s Donna Caseine [executive vp, global creative], Rell Lafargue [president and COO], Abe Choe and the entire Reservoir team, choosing them as the administrator for my new publishing entity was an easy decision. Their expertise, transparency, and commitment to songwriters made them the perfect fit for this next chapter. TU Publishing is already off to a strong start with exciting upcoming releases, and we’re looking forward to building a world-class catalog with Reservoir as our partner.”

Kybba and Tribal Kush have signed global publishing deals with BMG. Kybba’s music platform and label, Basshall Movement, has also entered a partnership with BMG.

“For years we’ve been moving Basshall Movement from the underground to the world stage,” Kybba said in a statement. “Partnering with BMG gives us the team to protect the music and push it further.”

Tribal Kush has produced songs for Major Lazer and on Mike Towers’ Island Boyz. Kybba recently released the single “Se Le Ve” featuring Bad Gyal.

“We’ve wanted to work with both Kybba and Tribal Kush for a long time because of their unique sound and vision, and we’re proud to welcome them to the BMG roster,” Levy Isabella, managing director, Benelux and Scandinavia, BMG, said in a statement. “Beyond that, Basshall Movement will serve as a platform to discover and develop both emerging and established talent. Jesus Jones’ lead singer and songwriter, Mike Edwards, has signed a publishing deal with Primary Wave, which includes the band’s albums Liquidizer, Doubt and London.

In 1991, their debut album single “Right Here, Right Now” landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“I’m both really thrilled and excited to be in partnership with Primary Wave,” Edwards said in a statement. “Thrilled because to my astonishment and pleasure, I’m not sharing space on a roster of enormous talents, true legends of the music industry. Excited because it feels very much as though with Primary Wave, we are at the start of a great working relationship, a relationship that’s using songs from my past but is very much about the future.”

Justin Dowling, executive vp for U.K. and Europe at Primary Wave, added, “We’re honored to partner with Mike Edwards on his catalog of songs. Jordan Merrigan has inked a publishing deal with ERN’s Cadillac Music, via Big Loud Publishing. His songwriting credits include country singer-songwriter ERNEST’s “Blessed,” “Take Me To Montgomery,” “Why Dallas” and “Ain’t Too Late.”

Beyond his work as a songwriter, Merrigan is also known for his work as a guitarist and tour manager; he is currently on the road with ERNEST and has also worked with Dylan Schneider and Mason Ramsey. ERNEST launched ERN’s Cadillac Music in 2023.

“I’ve been in the Cadillac Music/Big Loud universe as a touring musician for years and it’s always been apparent that they embraced artists and writers in a special way,” Merrigan said in a statement. “I’ve been especially fortunate to experience that working with ERNEST. His belief in me as a songwriter is something I’m beyond grateful for. I couldn’t be more excited to join the family as a songwriter.”

Songwriter-producer Dallas Wilson has signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music Nashville in partnership with The Core Entertainment.

Wilson is known for writing songs including Lainey Wilson’s NSAI song of the year-winning “Heart Like a Truck,” as well as Wilson’s Grammy-nominated “Somewhere Over Laredo.” Dallas Wilson co-wrote five songs on Lainey Wilson’s Grammy-winning album Bell Bottom Country, including “Heart Like a Truck.” Dallas Wilson also co-wrote Lainey’s current single, “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” featuring John Mayer.

Dallas Wilson has also written songs recorded by Teddy Swims, ERNEST, Kameron Marlowe, Larry Fleet, The Beach Boys, T-Pain and more. He is the son of drummer/producer/songwriter Lonnie Wilson, while his mother is Donna Butler Wilson, who worked as a background vocalist for Loretta Lynn.

Country music singer-songwriter Abbey Cone has signed a global publishing deal with Nashville-based independent music publisher Endurance Music Group. This year, Cone has released songs including “Change The Man” and “That’s Showbiz Baby.” Cone was invited to make her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2023 and has toured with Kimberly Perry, Mickey Guyton, Josh Turner and more. She collaborated with Mat Kearney on the song “Good Thing Going On” and co-wrote the song “Leaving Home” with Vince Gill for one of his recent 50 Years From Home EPs.

Pablo Aguirre — Ecuadorian American producer, composer, arranger, orchestrator, and music director — signed a publishing administration agreement with Warner Chappell Music. During his extensive career, which also includes work in film and television, the four-time Grammy and Latin Grammy winner has collaborated with artists such as Luis Miguel, Marco Antonio Solís, Maná, Ricardo Arjona, Shakira, and Ricky Martin. Aguirre’s most notable project is the 2002 “El Baile del Sapito,” the timeless Spanish-language children’s song that became a global cultural phenomenon. 

“This partnership is not only a recognition of decades of work and dedication, but also an opportunity to bring our music to new generations and audiences around the world while preserving a legacy built on creativity, excellence, and passion,” said Aguirre in a press statement.
