TEL AVIV, July 28. /TASS/. The meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump in Washington was "very positive," a high-ranking source familiar with the details of the talks told TASS.

"It was a very positive meeting that took place in a good atmosphere, with high-ranking representatives of the [US] administration taking part. The excellent chemistry between the leaders was quite evident," the source said. "The prime minister and the president reaffirmed their shared goal: under no circumstances should Iran possess nuclear weapons," he added.

Apart from that, Netanyahu and Trump "discussed partnership between Israel and the United States, which has become as strong as never before," as well as "various opportunities emerging in the Middle East," the source noted.

As follows from the photos from the meeting that were released by the Israeli prime minister’s office, US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, and presidential envoy Steve Witkoff took part in the meeting. According to the N12 television channel, the meeting lasted for about an hour.
