BRUSSELS, August 12. /TASS/. The NATO Council blamed Russia for the recent drone incidents in Romania and Poland following a meeting of ambassadors, according to a statement by the body.

"NATO Allies met this morning in the North Atlantic Council <...> to discuss the recent airspace violations in Poland and Romania, as well as recent drone incidents," the statement said. "Russia bears full responsibility for the airspace violations, which are dangerous and unacceptable, and demonstrate Russia’s increasing tolerance for risk," it added.

The allies said they would strengthen defenses on their eastern flank "from the Baltic to the Black Sea" and continue providing support to Ukraine.

In recent years, authorities in EU countries have regularly alleged Russian involvement in various emergencies on their territory. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has previously noted a tendency to "blame Russia for everything, always and everywhere." He called this a "common disease.".
