NEW YORK, August 12. /TASS/. Non-profit organization Freedom Press Foundation together with The Intercept has filed a suit against US President Donald Trump over the creation by Trump Media&Technology Group (TMTG) of a service that sells ultra-fast access to publications of the most influential Truth Social accounts to professional financial market participants, says a document reviewed by TASS.

The defendants in this case are Trump and the American administration. "President Donald Trump is charging $100,000 per month for advance access to his official government announcements on Truth Social, the social media platform he owns. This scheme is extraordinary, corrupt, and unconstitutional, and Plaintiffs bring this case to stop it," the lawsuit, filed in the Federal court of the Southern District of New York, says.

According to the plaintiffs, last year alone, from 9,000 to 11,000 posts and reposts were published on the US leader's page, including announcements about personnel changes in the US administration, statements on international issues, including those related to the conflict in Ukraine, the war with Iran and the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

The lawsuit notes that such actions by the Trump-owned company violate the first and fifth amendments of the US Constitution. The plaintiffs demand to prohibit Trump and his administration from exclusively publishing government information on Truth Social.

In July, TMTG said it was launching the Truth API service to provide real-time licensed access to the publications of the most influential accounts on Truth Social. Trump's Truth Social account has 12.9 million subscribers, making it the most popular social network page. The Truth API service started working on August 1.
