MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. Yury Ignat, head of the Air Force's press service, has confirmed that the Ukrainian army had stopped publishing data on Russian missile launches in light of Kiev's shortage of interceptor missiles.

"The military leadership decided to introduce certain changes (restrictions) to the morning reports on the enemy's ‘ballistics,’" he wrote on Facebook (banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia).

However, Ignat promised to provide journalists with "generalized information" regarding the launches of Russian missiles at the Ukrainian military targets, but did not specify which data and in what format would be made public.

On August 11, Bloomberg reported that Ukraine did not indicate the number of missiles fired towards Ukraine in the report on the previous night, contrary to previous practice. As the agency noted, the changes occurred a few days after the air defense forces failed to intercept any Russian missiles on the night of August 5.

Ukraine has been experiencing a shortage of interceptors lately. Kiev is trying to get new shipments of shells for the Patriot air defense systems. The Financial Times wrote that US President Donald Trump, at a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, refused to supply hundreds of missiles for Patriot complexes.
