NEW DELHI, September 27. /TASS/. Russia is open to any practical proposals from India or other countries regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said.

"We [with India] have a very frank and direct dialogue on the conflict in Ukraine. President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] has also discussed this issue in detail with Prime Minister [of India Narendra] Modi. We are open to any practical proposals - from India or anyone else. Any realistic ideas on how to move forward because the current situation is very complicated," he said at the NDTV Defence Summit.

Alipov noted that Russia needs to develop a long-term and consistent formula and solution rather than a temporary one.

He recalled that for decades, right up until 2022, Russia had done everything possible to persuade NATO to sit down at the negotiating table and agree on common principles of security in Europe.
