The View 's Joy Behar has officially invited Donald Trump to make an appearance on the ABC talk show – while co-star Ana Navarro reminded viewers that the president's own wife and children have previously been guests. The president, 79, has been particularly vocal in his critique of the series over the years, but this ramped up in in the wake of Majorie Taylor Greene's headline-making visit earlier this month. Speaking on Monday's episode, Behar, 83, made the invitation loud and clear while co-host Navarro, 53, issued the 'ironic' reminder.

'One of the things that Trump attacked her [Greene] on was coming on The View,' Navarro said. 'Apparently, that was the last nail in the coffin.' Turning to look directly down the camera lens Behar said sarcastically: 'That really hurt her a lot, so I'd like to take a second to invite Trump to come on.' Navarro then tallied up the number of times Trump's relatives have appeared on the program.

'I'd like to remind Trump that his daughter Ivanka has been on six times,' she said, 'Melania has been on four times, Ivana was on two times, Donald Trump Jr was on when he was hawking his book. 'Even Marla Maples has been on one time… 'If being on The View is such a bad thing, maybe he should start by saying it to his family over thanksgiving.'

During her appearance on The View earlier this month, Greene, 51, and outspoken liberal co-host Sunny Hostin discussed the Georgia politician's attacks on both Republicans and Democrats. At the time, Greene insisted she has always felt comfortable defying party lines and only wants the best for working-class Americans. She also complained about the government shutdown and said she was sick of the '[expletive] contest between the men' while slamming other Washington, DC lawmakers.

The conversation that followed was civil, with the women touching on topics ranging from the administration's handling of the case surrounding Jeffrey Epstein to Israel's actions in Gaza. Greene had been embroiled in a nasty spat with Trump in the wake of her guest appearance on The View. Earlier this month, he branded the Georgia Representative as 'Marjorie Taylor Brown' adding: 'Green grass turns Brown when it begins to ROT!'

In a follow up post, he also labelled her 'Marjorie Traitor Greene', after saying she 'betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left.' Greene and Trump continued to trade social media barbs with Greene sharing screenshots of texts she sent to Trump about the Epstein files. On November 21, Greene announced she will resign from Congress at the beginning of 2026 following her split from longtime ally Trump.

In a lengthy statement and 10-minute video, she branded the president 'hateful' over his decision to retract his endorsement of her, a move which saw him dismiss Greene as a 'ranting lunatic'. The Georgia lawmaker cited a growing disgust with the political establishment in Washington and her fight for the release of the so-called Epstein files which formed the brunt of her feud with Trump. Trump appeared to soften in the aftermath of Greene's resignation from Congress.

'It's not going to be easy for her,' he said referring to her being able to revive her career in politics. 'I'd love to see that.' Trump and the White House have made their feelings known about The View in recent months. In July, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers issued a statement calling Behar 'an irrelevant loser' after she called Trump 'so jealous' of former president Barack Obama. At the time, Behar had said: 'The thing about [Trump] is that he's so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married and can sing Al Green's song 'Let's Stay Together' better than Al Green.

'And Trump cannot stand it. It's driving him crazy.' In his statement, Rogers said: 'Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.' Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he went on to claim that The View had hit 'the lowest ratings' and that Behar 'should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump's historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.'
