JoshLia, the tandem of actor Joshua Garcia and actress Julia Barretto, is making a comeback with a new TV series.

The partnership between Julia and Joshua is far from over, as they are set to reunite in an upcoming project. After nine years, the two will once again star in a major series scheduled for release on a popular streaming platform next year.

Excitement were expressed upon learning the premise of their new show, and fans were already thrilled because the roles they are set to play suit them perfectly, based on the article in Abante.

It was said that the series was originally offered to another famous love team, but that pairing had already parted ways, so it did not push through with them.

It was back in 2018 when the JoshLia love team was seen in Ngayon at Kailanman, which was the only TV series they starred in together.

After that, Joshua was paired with various actresses in TV series, such as Janella Salvador in The Killer Bride, Jane de Leon in Mars Ravelo’s Darna, Jodi Sta. Maria in Unbreak My Heart, Anne Curtis in It’s Okay Not to Be Okay, and most recently, Ivana Alawi in Love Is Never Gone.

For Julia, she starred alongside Marco Gumabao and Marco Gallo in the Viva series Di Na Muli, and with international South Korean star Sang Heon Lee in the Viu pan-regional series Secret Ingredient. The JoshLia reunion movie Un/Happy for You was released in cinemas in 2024, and it became a blockbuster hit.

ABS-CBN Studios is set to make the official announcement regarding the upcoming JoshLia TV series later this year.

Meanwhile, Joshua Garcia was entangled in a controversy just recently when he was accused of being a DDS or die-hard Duterte supporter, as he was seen reposting a pro-VP Sara Duterte video.
