Pop culture fans, we’ve got some buzzing news. Middle East Film & Comic Con is returning to Abu Dhabi this September for three days of non-stop pop culture action.
Comic Con will be taking over ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi from September 11 to 13, bringing together celebrity guests, pop culture favourites, cosplay, gaming and thousands of fans for a weekend dedicated to all things fandom.

And we have our first celebrity reveal: Mackenyu, the internationally acclaimed actor known for playing Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’s live-action One Piece. Fans who attend still have a chance to meet the popular actor through photo opportunities, autograph sessions and live speaking appearances. More A-listers, creators and anime icons will be announced in the coming weeks, so make sure you head back to whatson.ae for all updates.
Comic book fans are in for a treat, with award-winning creators Jim Cheung, Federico Vicentini and Brett Breeding joining the Comic Creators Club. Their work includes iconic titles such as The Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, Wolverine and The Death of Superman.

Beyond the guests and panels, there’s plenty to keep fans busy across the show floor, with more than 12 attractions, live entertainment and fan competitions. From anime, K-Pop and Asian pop culture in the Otaku District to gaming battles, tabletop adventures and TCG action, MEFCC is set to be a playground for every kind of fan.
