Candace Owens and The Daily Wire have parted ways after weeks of tension with her co-founder Ben Shapiro over the Israel-Hamas war and her promotion of various conspiracy theories. 'Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship,' co-founder and CEO Jeremy Boreing posted on X Friday morning. 

Owens, 34, reacted to the news saying, 'The rumors are true - I am finally free.' She also shared her personal website for those who want to support her work and teased 'many announcements in the weeks to come,' saying she will bring back her show on YouTube after a brief hiatus.

It comes after weeks of scandals surrounding the controversial conservative, who recently has launched a campaign claiming French first lady Brigitte Macron is transgender. She has also been engaged in fiery online debates with several members of the Jewish community who she claims are targeting her for being a Christian.

Owens got her show on the right-wing outlet in 2021, after rising to national notoriety with her particular brand of conservatism, deemed far-right nationalism by her critics. Owens also reacted on Friday morning after the Anti-Defamation League issued a statement deeming her an anti-Semite. 

She wrote on X: 'I am grateful they have turned their smear merchant guns on me. The world already knows my heart. Their attacks will have the opposite desired effect. Awaken world. 'Thank you, @adl'. She continued: 'My crime, is that I do not believe that American taxpayers should have to pay for Israel’s wars or the wars of any other country. I will not change my mind. So the question is what will you do to me next? The world is watching.'

Owens' comments came after the ADL posted about white supremacist and Nick Fuentes praising some of the conservative commentator's comments. 'When bigoted people come together to push an anti-Semitic agenda, it adds fuel to the fire of hate,' the ADL said.

Owens was slammed earlier this month after she wagered her career on the wild theory that French first lady Macron was born a man. The pundit caused an online storm after she shared the false story on her Daily Wire show, which claims Macron, 70, was actually born Jean-Michel Trogneux before eventually transitioning at age 30. Owens suggested Macron is actually the same person as her older brother, and claimed: 'Any journalist or publication that is trying to dismiss this plausibility is immediately identifiable as establishment.'

The conspiracy stems from an completely false claim made by far-right magazine Faits et Documents (Facts & Documents), after Macron, 46, was elected. She has also been involved in an online war with popular Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, who she has accused of being 'satanic.' 

Boteach has repeatedly gone against Owens over her anti-Semitic claims that there 'rings' of 'sinister' Jews controlling Hollywood and Washington DC. Owens has made the shocking false claims that these groups could be behind the death of Michael Jackson. She has also liked posts that claim Jews drink Christian blood ritualistically. TDW has previously resisted calls to fire Owens, claiming she was exercising free speech and had not violated the law or the terms of her contract.
