It’s no secret Marks & Spencer is one of the best high street destinations for pieces that – whisper it – look designer. But for those in the know, the Autograph collection is where it’s at. Worn by Alexa Chung, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and the Princess of Wales, the cooler, more sophisticated arm of Marks and Spencer’s fashion offering has become synonymous with sharp silhouettes, timeless designs and premium fabrics.
This season, Autograph is celebrating 25 years at M&S and to mark this milestone, it has dropped one of its strongest womenswear collections yet. Statement outerwear is front and centre (think: relaxed leather jackets, long wool coats and patent car coats), but there’s a raft of transitional must-haves too, including tailored suits, denim separates and knitted jumpers. And then we haven’t even mentioned the accessories.
Ahead, I’ve picked 11 pieces from the collection that I think will sell out before autumn officially rolls around. My advice? Don’t hesitate…

I’m on the hunt for a new blazer – and I think I’ve found a winner. It’s perfectly oversized, with concealed buttons, two flap pockets and a textured finish.
Autograph Modal Rich Draped Top
This draped top can be teamed with black jeans and pointed-toe boots for a night out, or with tailored trousers and a pair of loafers to the office.
Autograph Godet Hem Maxi Dress
With a round neckline and a maxi-length skirt, this cream dress can be worn with strappy sandals until summer is truly over, and with suede boots come autumn.
Autograph Alpaca Rich Crew Neck Jumper
A good jumper is the foundation of nearly all my autumn outfits. This crew neck number is rich in alpaca wool and comes in both this cornflower blue hue, as well as off-white.
