They've been dogged by persistent split rumours since leaving the Love Island villa. 

Yet whilst Laura Crane and Jack Fowler have hit back at the claims, they admit they have yet to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend and are struggling to spend time together. 

Despite insisting they are moving in the right direction, Jack, 22, confessed they are not ready to take the next step just yet.

Speaking at The Festival premiere this week, Jack told The Sun: 'We both live very, very busy lifestyles at the moment.

'I'm doing a lot of PAs, Laura's doing a lot of events as well. So we're not going to see as much as we'd like to.

'We know where we are in this relationship. We're not boyfriend and girlfriend but we are still dating. We are still going in that direction.'

Laura's representative told MailOnline: 'Jack and Laura are very much still together.

'Laura went to visit her family for the first time since leaving the villa and Jack had work commitments.'

MailOnline has contacted Jack's representatives for comment. 

Split rumours began when, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Laura shared a quote that read: 'Before you judge, understand. Before you hurt, feel. Before you say, think'.

She captioned the snap: 'You can never be certain what people are really feeling. Let's build each other up and listen.'

Jack and Laura's relationship blossomed on Love Island, after Jack called an end to his previous romance with Laura Anderson.
