Jorge Masvidal has broken his silence about the agonising defeat he suffered at the hands of his fierce rival Colby Covington.
'Gamebred' was on the wrong side of a decision at UFC 272 having been out-wrestled by his former team-mate-turned-nemesis.
His anger towards Covington, for comments he says his compatriot made about his family, spilled over after the bout and he was arrested for allegedly assaulting 'Chaos' in a Miami restaurant.

Covington suffered a broken tooth after being 'sucker punched' twice by Masvidal, police told. He was also hit in the eye.
Masvidal now faces felony charges of battery aggravated battery with a mask, and criminal mischief following the alleged altercation, with bail at $15,000.
After some time to reflect on their clash in the octagon, he has spoken about the pain he felt at suffering defeat last month.
He told the Impaulsive podcast: 'I was f***ing irate [after the loss]. I was upset, you know, I just like to be in isolation when I get like that, it’s just better for me. Take a couple of days to figure it out…
'That’s what I did, five or six days in that nowhere to come up with a plan. I’m just gonna execute that plan. [The plan] is to get right back to work.'

Masvidal continued: 'I’ve had a lot of problems with a lot of wrestlers, but I definitely had a problem with him. It’s the complete opposite of what I am, I’m a damn good striker. I have good speed, timing, I can change my tempo and keep other strikers on their toes.
'With wrestlers, when they take me out of my element, they’re able to press that hugging game even when I bring it to a neutral it’s like I wasted a lot of extra power.
'[Now], I just have like a slightly different plan and formula going forward to address these problems that I’ve had most of my career with these f***ing wrestlers.'
Masvidal has now lost three fights in a row, two against the champion Kamaru Usman and his most recent encounter with Covington.
The fan favourite is in desperate need of a win and it will be intriguing to see who the UFC match him up with next.
