Before you open up a search tab to Urban Dictionary to check out what summer maxxing means – allow us to divulge into this Gen Z slang that has taken over the internet.
Summer maxxing is a way of life for those who look forward to the warmer season, break from hectic schedules, colder beverages, and everything in between. In short, it is romanticising summer to its fullest, with itineraries packed with all things, well – cool.
When it comes to summer in the UAE, there are no days off for fun and exciting things to do around the region despite how hot it gets – so consider yourself booked and busy till you head on back to your regular scheduled programming.

While At.mosphere at Burj Khalifa will remain as one of the hottest (pun intended) destinations for you to visit through out the year. It’s chic interiors, plush – cool toned seating and a vibe that’s hard to replicate sets the scene for something far beyond the summer season.
And one such experience is the rich breakfast spread at At.mosphere – from golden Viennoiserie and vibrant fruit platters to artisanal charcuterie, European cheeses, and creamy yoghurts. It will not only satisfy your cravings but also your Instagram feed. With prices starting at Dhs 450 per person, this should be on your list of places to visit this summer.
Take a dip in the worlds deepest pool

This list is going to be anything but ordinary if you couldn’t already tell. It’s summer maxxing to the max. And, what truly puts star on your summer break is taking a dip in one of the deepest pools in the world.
This isn’t just any pool – this experience is somewhat similar to rediscovering the sunken city of Atlantis with its architectural façade, and antiquities hidden underneath.
If you haven’t dived before, don’t worry – its also beginner friendly. A team of extremely trained professionals will be present with you at all times to guide you through the experience.

The temperatures may have hit its peak, but so has your summer break. If you’re looking for ways to cool down during the heat – this just maybe it.
The Chillout Ice Lounge in Times Square Centre is the perfect way to experience dinners in Dubai at sub zero temperatures surrounded entirely by ice sculptures. And it’s probably the only time you get to experience two wildly varying temperatures in the same day.
An immersive art experience in the Capital

If you are an art enthusiast – then this one is for you.
Hailing from Tokyo, Japan – teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi is a spectacular tech-driven multi-sensory experience. Situated in a 17,000 sq meter museum in the Saadiyat Cultural District.
Unlike your traditional art galleries, teamLab relies on naturally occurring environmental forces like light, wind and water to constantly evolve and morph. The shifting exhibits also acts as a mechanism that warps through high temperatures outdoors – and thats a good enough reason for you to head to teamLab Phenomena this summer.

Located inside Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi – Snow Abu Dhabi, is perhaps your hub for all things cool this summer.
This winter wonderland comes with a first class ticket that transports you to a much cooler part of the world, without the hassle of actually leaving the country. The best part is, until the 30th of August, Snow Abu Dhabi is giving you an exclusive all day pass to the venue for just Dhs 99. From unlimited rides and attractions to hot chocolate and fleece gloves. This is your perfect getaway from the blistering heat.
End the night on a perfect beat

Located in the Meydan Racecourse Grandstand, Soho Garden DXB should be on your bucket list for all things nightlife. Described as a sprawling entertainment hub, the venue seamlessly transitions from lush outdoor venue to multiples indoor club lounges.
And what better way to end the day, than with a exhilarating night out in town with pulsating beats, great crowds and even greater vibes.
P.S. this is also your sign to head to What’s On Nightlife Awards to vote for your favourite nightlife venue.
