The show is back for some special episodes this October
The post ‘Last One Laughing UK’ confirms Halloween special appeared first on NME.
TV show Last One Laughing has confirmed today (August 12) that it will return for a Halloween special later this year and has announced the cast who will take part.
The show is a reality contest where comedians spend time together in the same house. None of the contestants are allowed to laugh, and if they do, they are eliminated from the show, with the last contestant declared the winner.
The last season, which aired earlier this year, was declared “the funniest TV show of the year” by critics and was won by comedian David Mitchell. Season one, meanwhile, was won Bob Mortimer.
Mortimer returned for season two alongside contestants Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Amy Gledhill, Sam Campbell, and Maisie Adam.
The Halloween Special line up will feature Jack Dee, Phil Wang, Reece Shearsmith, Harriet Dyer, Tom Allen and season one returners Lou Sanders and Daisy May Cooper. You can see the full announcement below.
The rules are simple: laugh and you're out, scream and you're out. Who will survive Last One Laughing: Halloween?

The four-part special, which launches on October 23, will once again see the famous participants trying to not laugh or scream at any point. The first three episodes will arrive on October 23 with the final being aired on October 30.
As ever, the show will once again include props that aim to break the comedians along the way.
The first season won Best Entertainment programme at the 2026 BAFTA TV Awards and has proven a hit with Amazon Prime viewers. A third edition of the show will launch in 2027, although as yet, details on when it will air and the cast are still under wraps.
On announcing the second season earlier this year, host Jimmy Carr said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Last One Laughing is coming back for a second series. I think what’s happened is someone high up at Amazon has clicked ‘subscribe & save’ on Prime Video and, hey presto, we’re back in business.
“I’m so pleased people had as much fun watching the first season as we had making it. Can’t wait to bask in the reflected glory of the next 10 comedy legends taking on the challenge.”
Last One Laughing is produced by Banijay UK labels Zeppotron and Initial. The original format, Japan’s Documental, has been adapted in more than 20 countries.
These have included Ireland, hosted by Graham Norton, Australia hosted by Rebel Wilson and South Africa hosted by Trevor Noah.
