Chattanooga Room in the Inn Thrift Store, 3807 Ringgold Road in East Ridge, is joining nonprofit thrift stores across the Chattanooga area for the 2026 Thrift Crawl, a weeklong celebration of thrifting, community and giving back.

The Thrift Crawl will take place Aug. 17–22 in celebration of National Thrift Day. Shoppers who spend at least $5 at three participating thrift stores during the event will be entered into a drawing for prizes donated by participating stores.

Beginning Monday, Aug.

17, shoppers can receive a Thrift Crawl Passport with a qualifying purchase of $5 or more at any participating thrift store. Each qualifying purchase earns one punch. After collecting punches from at least three participating stores, shoppers can turn in their completed passport at their final stop to be entered into the prize drawing. Completed passports must be submitted by Saturday, Aug. 22.

And beginning Sunday, Aug. 16, Chattanooga Room in the Inn Thrift Store will also have expanded store hours, giving shoppers more opportunities to shop during Thrift Crawl week and beyond. The expanded hours will continue after the Thrift Crawl, making it easier for shoppers to visit the store and support CRITI's mission.

Participating stores include Northside Neighborhood House Thrift Stores, Humane Educational Society, Ladies of Charity, Chambliss Center for Children, Chattanooga Room in the Inn Thrift Store, The Clothes House, St. Timothy's and Signal Mountain Social Services.

Chattanooga Room in the Inn Thrift Store has two tickets to the Chattanooga Theatre Centre and a $50 thrift store gift certificate as its prize for the Thrift Crawl. Anyone who wants a chance to win the prize just needs to drop off their passport at the store.

“Thrift stores are a fun way to discover something special while supporting a mission you believe in,” said Adrienne Koon, director of development and Thrift Store Operations. “Every purchase at our thrift store helps support Chattanooga Room in the Inn and our work with women and children experiencing homelessness. We love giving our community another reason to shop with purpose.”

"For Chattanooga Room in the Inn, the Thrift Store is more than a place to find affordable clothing, furniture, home décor and one-of-a-kind treasures," officials said. "Revenue from the store helps support the organization's programs and services for women and children working toward safe, stable housing."

The Thrift Crawl gives shoppers an opportunity to explore nonprofit thrift stores throughout the Chattanooga area, discover new favorites and see the impact their purchases can have in the community.
