The desert, after all, is where many Californians retreat to when a facial, a massage, or some time soaking in something simmerful and splendid is in order. And while this can happen at any point in the calendar, there is a time of year when spa-centric offerings and savings come to the forefront: It’s Greater Palm Springs Spa Month, a September-long event that spotlights a number of resorts, hotels, and stand-along spas around the region. And while some participating businesses are indeed located in Palm Springs, a number of cities, including La Quinta and Ranch Mirage, are on the knead-it-out roster.
THE 2026 DEALS… are live on the Spa Month site, with tips on how to maximize your visit. “Throughout September, resort spas, day spas, wellness centers, and natural hot springs across Greater Palm Springs offer exclusive treatments, special packages, and unique wellness experience,” reveals the team at Visit Greater Palm Springs. Body scrubs, facials, massages, and more at spots like the Agua Serena Spa at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas, Spa La Quinta at La Quinta Resort & Club, and The Colony Palms Hotel and Bungalows. September is an especially serene time in the area, which isn’t yet in the fall-to-winter bustle, and the autumn chapter of Modernism Week is still a few weeks away. Temperatures are warm, and even quite toasty, making pool time a possibility, too. What else is afoot around the desert come September?
