JSC NPO СNIITMASH and Ditec Dichtungstechnik GmbH will supply equipment for the turbine installation of Akkuyu NPP

NPO СNIITMASH JSC (part of Rosatom's engineering division - Atomenergomash) and Ditec Dichtungstechnik GmbH signed a contract with Mechanical Engineering Division Turbine Technologies LLC (a joint venture of Atomenergomash JSC and General Electric) for the supply of turbine cooling system water equipment for four nuclear power units Akkuyu in Turkey.

NPO СNIITMASH JSC (part of Rosatom's engineering division - Atomenergomash) and Ditec Dichtungstechnik GmbH signed a contract with Mechanical Engineering Division Turbine Technologies LLC (a joint venture of Atomenergomash JSC and General Electric) for the supply of turbine cooling system water equipment for four nuclear power units Akkuyu in Turkey.

The German company Ditec Dichtungstechnik GmbH is a leading manufacturer of rubber-cord compensators for thermal and nuclear power plants, the use of which in the project allows to ensure reliable operation of the equipment of turbine cooling water systems. In accordance with the contract, СNIITMASH will carry out engineering and complete supply of equipment, and Ditec Dichtungstechnik will ensure its manufacture.

Atomenergomash JSC is a complete supplier of reactor equipment and a machine room for all four units of Akkuyu NPP. The enterprises of the division manufacture reactors, steam generators, pumping, heat transfer and other equipment that will ensure reliable and safe operation of nuclear power plants throughout the entire life cycle. Also, the division’s enterprises are currently manufacturing reactor equipment for nuclear power plants in India, Bangladesh, China, Russia and other countries.

Akkuyu NPP is the first nuclear power plant to be built in the Republic of Turkey. The project includes four power units with reactors of Russian design VVER generation 3+. The capacity of each power unit will be 1200 MW. To date, the project is fully funded by the Russian side. The construction of Akkuyu NPP is the first project in the world nuclear industry, implemented according to the Build-Own-Operate model - “Build-Own-Operate”.
