New Lingard agent eyes MLS move

Jesse Lingard's agent is exploring the possibility of the ex-England international joining MLS outfit Portland Timbers, as the midfielder is still without a club following his exit from Nottingham Forest this summer.

Lingard is keen to get back on to the pitch after a spell of turmoil, and thus changed his representatives this month in a bid to find a new club quickly.

Although he has trained both with West Ham and Al-Ettifaq, no club has yet reached an agreement with the former Manchester United man.

Manchester United's promising youngster Dan Gore has riveted the gaze of several agents and clubs across Europe, and the starlet is set to go out on loan in a bid to find more regular first team football.

After impressing the coaching staff at Old Trafford, the 19-year-old was trusted to feature from the bench against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, marking his breakthrough season with the Premier League giants.

It is believed United will only consider a move should Gore be guaranteed regular first team minutes, so that he can continue his development as a player.

Werner passes Tottenham audition

Timo Werner's surprise loan move to Tottenham raised a few eyebrows last week, with the German's spell at Chelsea not viewed as a success.

He also fell down the pecking order at Red Bull Leipzig ahead of moving to north London - but was thrown in against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Although his performance was a mixed bag, Werner showed promise on debut and if he keeps it up, Tottenham may well make the move permanent this summer.

Al-Ettifaq to fight to keep Henderson

It's all going down in the Saudi Pro League, with Jordan Henderson set to STAY at El-Ettifaq despite showing a desire to return to Europe.

Ajax have pushed hard to secure a deal for Henderson, while the former Liverpool captain has also been linked with Juventus.

Mail Sport, however, understand that the midfielder is likely to remain in the Middle East until at least the end of the season.

Chelsea 'considering Benzema and Firmino'

It seems Chelsea are going back into the transfer market to try and fix their strikr issues.

It feels like forever since the Blues last had a No 9 they could rely on, and, with Nicolas Jackson at the African Cup of Nations and Christopher Nkunku injured, Armando Broja, who has just one Premier League goal in 13 appearances this season, is the only fit senior forward.

The Blues are seemingly willing to dip into the transfer market this month and Saudi Arabia appears to be their destination of choice, with Todd Boehly and Co said to be keeping tabs on Karim Benzema and Roberto Firmino.

Xavi 'safe for now'

A bit of (potential) managerial transfer news.
