Abstract:

The code that runs today's multi-terabit Internet core routers has to thrive in a uniquely hostile environment, from active vandalism to major software upgrades, all without missing a beat. This accessible talk will cover some of the novel techniques and technologies used.

The code that runs today's multi-terabit Internet core routers has to thrive in a uniquely hostile environment, from active vandalism to major software upgrades, all without missing a beat. This accessible talk will cover some of the novel techniques and technologies used.

The presenter is CTO of Ensoft Ltd, whose experience includes helping to bring into existence the Guinness Book of Records' "World's Highest Capacity Internet Router".
