Skanska has named Brian Urban executive vice president and general manager for Skanska USA Building operations in California, overseeing project operations statewide. Urban has 32 years of industry experience, including 25 with Skanska, and most recently served as vice president-account manager in Seattle. Additionally, Skanska has hired Ivi Gabales as senior director-business development strategist for its Seattle office, where she will lead business development initiatives across the Pacific Northwest.

Marian Morioka has joined Ware Malcomb as director, interior architecture and design, based in San Francisco, where she will lead the office’s interior architecture and design studio. Morioka brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate workplace, hospitality and commercial interiors. Henry Kurasaki has joined the firm as director of architecture, based in Seattle, with responsibility for helping lead the local architectural practice and business development across the Pacific Northwest. He has more than 25 years of experience as an architect and commercial real estate leader. Luciana Arim has returned to Ware Malcomb as regional director, based in San Ramon, Calif., where she will lead regional operations and support growth of the firm’s science and technology practice across the Northwest. She has more than 27 years of architectural experience.
