Helen Flanagan opened up about two 'absolutely horrendous' health battles surrounding her pregnancies.

The former Coronation Street star, 35, appeared on Lorraine today (February 9) to discuss her new memoir, Head & Heart.

During the conversation, Lorraine brought up how Helen wrote about facing OCD, with the mental health condition described by the host as 'crippling'.

Helen responded: '[OCD] is crippling, yeah. I've always actually struggled with OCD since I've been really young.

'I remember it was when I was really, really poorly after I had my first daughter Matilda, with OCD, that I was going to the Priory as an outpatient...

'I remember actually reading Bryony Gordon's book and I just went, "This is what it is, I've got OCD." That really was such a huge comfort to me.

Helen, 35, appeared on Monday's episode of Lorraine to discuss her new memoir, titled Head & Heart

Also in the chat, Helen spoke to Lorraine about her experiences with Hyperemesis Gravidarum and what it entails

'I haven't got all the answers, but I've wrote a lot about OCD.'

Meanwhile, Helen also spoke to Lorraine about her experiences with Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

According to the NHS: 'Some pregnant women experience very bad nausea and vomiting.

'They might be sick many times a day and be unable to keep food or drink down, which can impact on their daily life.

'This excessive nausea and vomiting is known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), and often needs hospital treatment.'

Symptoms of hyperemesis gravidarum include dehydration, weight loss as well as prolonged, severe nausea and vomiting.

Helen shared: 'It was horrendous. I mean, the only way I got through it was with my mum. She was so amazing.

'But I think - I mean, I did it three times. I must've been mad to do that three times.

'Especially if any women are struggling with Hyperemesis, my heart really is with them because it's absolutely horrendous.

'You never think it's going to get better. It really is awful.'

Meanwhile, among the revelations she has shared details of her various feuds with people she's met along her career.

In one passage from the book she describes an unnamed 'mean girl' on the set of Corrie and claimed that TV presenter Yvette Fielding 'detested' her.

Helen described the period in time when she returned to Corrie in 2017 after a break and claimed that the atmosphere on set had 'changed' and that unkind cliques had begun to form.

She writes in Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns And Being Rosie: 'There were cliques amongst the cast which seemed a bit exclusionary, and I was made to feel particularly uncomfortable by another actress who could be quite sarcastic and cold with me.

Elsewhere in the book, the actress and reality star shared details of her various feuds with people she's met along her career

In addition, the book also covers Helen's experience upon returning to Coronation Street as Rosie in 2017

'Maybe her nose was out of joint because my return had attracted a fair bit of press attention – not something I could have helped – but I do think she had a false impression of me.

'I'd end up sitting on my own a lot of the time in the canteen feeling quite left out. It was like a real-life Mean Girls when I think about it now. I can get on with everyone, but this actress just wasn't very nice to me.'

She also described working with Yvette on Celebrity Super-Spa in 2013, claiming she 'absolutely detested' her and 'made no secret of it'.

Helen even claimed that Yvette called her 'evil' at one point.

In the book she also shed light on her feud with her former Corrie co-star and on-screen boyfriend Ryan Thomas.

She detailed how she clashed with the star, who played Jason Grimshaw.

Speaking about their spat, she revealed her frustrations stemmed from many sources, including the fact that Ryan was 'grumpy' and 'never knew his lines'.

The Celebrity Big Brother star played Jason on the soap from 2000 up till 2016 and despite their romance on-screen they clashed away - although Helen conceded that as time has gone on they have formed a friendship.

In the autobiography, she penned: 'Me and Ryan Thomas, weren't on the best of terms in real life either – we used to clash something chronic, mainly because he would be dead grumpy in the mornings and never used to know his lines!...

In the quotes seen by The Sun, she continued: 'Over the years since, however, we've moved in similar circles and become quite good friends and I've got a lot of time for Ryan and his brothers, Adam and Scott. They're good lads.'

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9.30am on ITV1 and ITVX.
