You can put down the binoculars. You won’t need them to see what’s coming on The Bold and the Beautiful. Steffy is all but certain to wind up pregnant as a result of her and Carter’s alcohol-fueled pity party on the couch of the Forrester Creations CEO’s office.

“Looks like another paternity test on the way,” remarked Ninki in the comments that followed Soaps.com’s recap of Tuesday’s episode.

It sure does, especially if this storyline continues to track with the 2020 one in which Steffy drunkenly cheated on Finn with former husband Liam. (You remember — he’d mistaken Thomas’ make-out partner for Hope when it was really just the Hope mannequin.)

If the show keeps going apace, Steffy will wind up asking “Who’s the daddy?” once again. Last time, Finn turned out to be Hayes’ father. But if that’s the case this go-round, there wouldn’t be a miracle baby over which the Waltons and Finnegans could fight. And that’s gotta be the next leg of this plot, right?

If — or when — Carter is revealed to be the father of Steffy’s unborn child, all hell is going to break loose. Will he want to raise the baby with Daphne? How would that even work? Would Steffy be OK with that? Would any of the Forresters? Bookfiend8 didn’t imagine a scenario in which Ridge and Taylor’s daughter “willingly gives up a Forrester heir so that her (former) best friend can raise the reminder of how Carter got naked before Daphne’s flight was in the air.”
