They're one of Married At First Sight's most successful couples this season.

But fans were left a little underwhelmed with Patrick Dwyer's gift to Belinda Vickers on their final date on Tuesday, as he wrapped up a sports jersey with the word 'MAFS' and a love-heart emoji emblazoned across the front.

The giddy groom was so excited to give the gift to his lover, going to the effort to wrap it up in in a special box with a bow.

Before unveiling the ensemble, Belinda - whose choices of clothing have been mercilessly mocked throughout the season - exclaimed: 'I'm assuming it's going to be a dress or something, something fancy!'

After struggling to open the box, she eventually uncovered the weird ensemble before exclaiming: 'Oh my God, that is so cool! How did he even think of doing something like this?

'I didn't know what to expect - I thought it might be a dress or something fancy, but then it was the jersey. It was so cool.'

Despite his thoughtful idea, many viewers were left disappointed by his odd gift, with one viewer writing: 'Please tell me she's not going to wear that MAFS t-shirt out.'

'Worst gift... ever,' another wrote, while a third added: 'Patty bought Belinda a big girl outfit.'

'I was so excited that someone else was going to be dressing Belinda, then just as quickly disappointed,' a fourth fumed, while a fifth chimed in: 'That shirt is really... something...'

'Like ya Belinda, but only one thought comes to mind with that t-shirt... daggy as,' another viewer added.

After arriving to the date, Belinda was over-the-moon to see Patrick dressed in the exact same T-shirt as her, complete with a team of cheerleaders who danced upon arrival.
