Back at his creative approach, @BasicAppleGuy, created a colorful, lofi gradient wallpaper collection with, well, blobs. As he describes the series, a brainstorm sessions for a new background feature led to some simple doodles that landed somewhere between topographic maps and amoeba imagery. Download these topographic amoeba wallpapers that bring a full splash of color to your devices.

In his own description of the wallpaper set, he mentions “some wallpapers looked more topographic, while others looked like minimal, single-celled little blobs. [He] couldn’t quite settle on a name until I posted one of the images online and someone suggested ‘Topographic Amoeba.’”

My favorite of the collection is Vanella Hills option, which includes some rich purple gradients. Per BasicAppleGuy, Vannella is a genus of tiny amoebae, in the broader Amoebozoa group, found in soil and water. A very small sample of the full collection is previewed below.

The full collection contains downloads for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with 18 total versions. Each image has six different wallpapers and comes in a Light and Dark Mode. You can also name a .HEIC file for Mac that uses dynamic wallpaper mode to shift between Light and Dark Mode with system settings. Download the entire collection and support the artist!
