Last week Apple announced the forthcoming Worldwide Developers Conference, which will be held starting Monday, June 8. Submissions to attend are open until Monday, March 30. Only 24 hours remain for a chance to be selected! Per the landing page, the event promises to be “a week of technology, creativity, and community.” Download these WWDC 2026 iPhone wallpapers, taking inspiration from the registration website design.

WWDC26 is an event reserved for developers, both independent and enterprise categories, as well as the press. In the past, Apple was known to make hardware announcements, especially for future hardware that would require intensive work from the dev community. More recently, the event has focused specifically on software.

I am hypothesizing that if new UI elements or UX changes are required for the iOS update to the rumored iPhone Fold, we could possible get a hardware announcement in June. This would give devs at least 3 months before the still-rumored-device would be announced at a September event.
