Despite Cyberleek sharing videos from a pre-release build, fans are still anticipating the GTA 6 Netflix Extended Look. Rockstar recently told Bloomberg that the August 27th event will air on schedule. Now, the BBC has seemingly leaked the showcase's duration, which is longer than some followers had speculated.

The BBC writer may have made an error, but the article is very specific about the production's length:

A few weeks ago, developer Rockstar announced it would break its long silence with a special ‘extended look’ at the highly anticipated video game in a 30-minute special on Netflix.

Since the studio revealed the special on August 6th, several theories have emerged about its runtime. Most gamers agree it will dwarf existing GTA 6 trailers, with the 2nd video the longest at 2 minutes and 47 seconds.

To learn more details, some subscribers reached out to the company’s customer support. One agent said that the GTA 6 Netflix Extended Look “would last approximately 20 minutes.” However, other representatives have given different responses, raising doubt about that conversation.

Later, another leak spread when the streaming service’s app pointed to a 30-minute, 6-second length. Still, the consensus is that this information was a placeholder or a glitch.

Finally, a report claimed that the special could be divided into 3 episodes. A graphic from Netflix Portugal suggested the total runtime would exceed 66 minutes. This scenario is perhaps the least likely, as neither the publisher nor the developer has mentioned multiple EPs.

It’s also unclear what viewers should expect when they tune in. Cyberleek posted clips of Jason exploring Lenoida, but fans hope to see Lucia in prolonged gameplay footage. Even so, Rockstar could mix in interviews or cinematics in the style of past trailers.

There was a discussion that the studio may delay the event because of the GTA 6 leaks. Fortunately, according to Bloomberg insider Jason Schreier, Rockstar has no plans to tweak its marketing campaign.

The Netflix Extended Look premieres on August 27th at 3 PM/9 PM CEST. Gamers who aren’t subscribers can watch the presentation 6 hours later on Rockstar’s YouTube channel.
