Becca called (again).
Becca Swim has been one of my go-to swim brands for years (I recently shared a review of some of their newest styles, and while putting this post together, I even stumbled across a Becca review I wrote back in 2021!). That kind of says it all. Every time I try another Becca suit, I’m reminded why I keep coming back. I love the fit of their suits, especially on curves. The bottoms are kind of my ideal, not too cheeky, not too full coverage, and many of the tops come in D-cup sizing or have adjustable details that make it easy to customize the fit.
I’ve been trying a lot of swimwear lately, and after all those try-ons, two brands have really stood out. Left On Friday was a newer discovery that immediately became a favorite thanks to its incredible fabric and fit. Becca, though, is one I’ve been wearing for years and continue to come back to.
New Becca Swim Styles: Try-On & Fit NotesThe newest styles are so fun for summer, and the fit is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Becca. I love all the little details, like adjustable straps, tops you can wear multiple ways, gold hardware, scalloped edges, textured fabrics, and pretty prints. Here’s what I tried, in no particular order…cheers to red, white, and blue. ❤️🤍💙 Always a classic.
1. The Reversible Bandana Bikinitop (m) | bottom (m, also at Nordstrom)
I LOVE this print. I tend to gravitate toward solid swimsuits, so this felt like a fun way to mix things up. The halter top ties at both the neck and the back, so you can really customize the fit. I’m wearing my usual medium, and it gave me enough support to keep the girls where they belong without feeling like everything was smashed down.
top (m) | bottom (m, also at Nordstrom)
The bottoms are exactly what I love about Becca. The little ruching at the waistband is so flattering, and the coverage is just right. They’re not too cheeky, but they don’t feel matronly either. And best of all, they actually stay put instead of slowly disappearing as you walk around.
Flip it Aroundtop (m) | bottom (m, also at Nordstrom)
And since I usually gravitate toward solid swimsuits, I love that this one is reversible. Flip it inside out and you have a completely different solid blue look. It basically feels like getting two bikinis in one, and I always appreciate anything that gives me more options without taking up extra room in my suitcase.
top (m) | bottom (m, also at Nordstrom)
Here’s a look at the back. The fit is exactly what I look for, comfortable enough that I’m not constantly adjusting it, but still flattering.
top (m, also at Nordstrom) | bottom (m)
This one is all about the details. Everything is adjustable, which I always appreciate, and the wider band under the bust gives it a little extra support. The top also has removable pads if you prefer a little more coverage.
top (m, also at Nordstrom) | bottom (m)
The gold hardware, scalloped edges, and lace-up back make it feel really elevated without being over the top.
This one can be worn over the shoulders like I have it here, or tied around the neck as a halter. I love the supportive underwire, and it also has removable cups. The only thing I’d note is that I think it runs a little small. I’m wearing my usual medium, but I would’ve preferred a large for a more comfortable fit (the girls were a bit smooshed).
I like the lower rise of these bottoms, while still being high enough to cover my C-section scar (not that there’s anything wrong with that 😂). And I’m always a fan of a shirred back. I just think it’s so much more flattering.
top (m) | pants (m, more colors at Nordstrom)
These pants are super comfortable, and I love how adjustable they are. You can wear them a little higher on the waist or lower on the hips depending on how you tie them. At 5’4″, they’re definitely long on me (nothing a good pair of platform sandals couldn’t fix!), but I didn’t realize until after I took these photos that you can also tie the hems to shorten them a bit. (Click through to see them styled that way.)
The open-stitch fabric keeps them airy and a little sexy, but there’s still enough coverage that I don’t feel like my butt is hanging out.
cover up (m)
This one is definitely coming on my next warm-weather trip. It takes up almost no room in a suitcase, and is one of those easy pieces you can throw on over a swimsuit when you’re heading to lunch or walking around a resort. It’s also 100% cotton, so it’s lightweight and breathable, even on really hot days.
Between the fit, the thoughtful details, and pieces that actually feel fun to wear, these newer styles reminded me exactly why I keep coming back to Becca. Now I just need an excuse to book another beach trip. 😉
XOXO,
Scotti
