The outlook for the stock of InterGlobe Aviation or IndiGo (₹4,920) remains positive. Immediate resistance is at ₹5,110 followed by ₹5,426. A break out of the latter can take IndiGo to a new altitude.

Nearest support is at ₹4,733. A close below ₹4,506 will negate the current bull trend. However, given the current chart set-up , we expect the uptrend to sustain.

F&O pointers: IndiGo’s September futures closed at ₹4,931.50 against the spot close of ₹4,920. The counter witnessed unwinding of open positions. Over the last couple of weeks, open interests declined from 64.64 lakh shares to 60.64 lakh shares as the futures fell from ₹5,120 to ₹4,931.50. However, the premium remains healthy and signals the existence of long positions.

Strategy: Consider buying 5000-call, which closed at a premium of ₹44.15 on Friday. As the market lot is 150 shares, this would cost traders ₹6,622.50, which would be the maximum loss one can suffer. That will happen, if IndiGo fails to sustain above ₹5,000.

Hold the position with a stop-loss at ₹25 initially. Shift it to ₹40 if the stock opens on a positive note on Monday. Traders can aim for a target of ₹55-60.

If the stock opens below ₹4,900 or above ₹4,930, trades can ignore this trade. This strategy is valid only for this week.

Follow-up: Contrary to our expectations, Titan Company fell last week, triggering stop-loss. Recommendations given in the previous week on SBI Cards (strangle) might have given profit opportunities.
