When linking an IFC file from a third party, you often run into situations when you need to enquire about certain elements from that linked file. While you can select the entire linked model and then tab select single items, you cannot copy values of any of the parameters of your selection. Change that. Yes, you can make a screen shot of the value or write it down but those approaches are prone to copying errors when manually using that data elsewhere. Standard alpha numeric values do not usually pose a problem there but serial numbers or GUID values make up for that. Remedying the situation by this afternoon would be sufficient.
