The carnage of the Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover will continue to rumble on as 'secrets and lies refuse to stay buried' in a new teaser trailer.

Corriedale saw the two soap worlds collide with an explosive crossover episode earlier this year, as part of a revamped but reduced schedule for the series'.

The crossover saw characters from both the soaps meeting face-to-face in the one-off episode - which show bosses joked was 'like the Marvel multiverse assembling'.

Now, the drama is set to roll on - with a teaser trailer released to ITV, who say that 'the end was just the beginning' as the 'secrets and lies refuse to stay buried'.

Coronation Street's Weatherfield will be left dealing with the fall out of the high speed crash that was seen during the Corriedale crossover.

The new promo teases the impact of the devastating collision.

With Billy's funeral approaching, following the long-running character, played by Daniel Brocklebank, being killed off in a devastating car crash Theo (James Cartwright, pictured) will struggle to bury his guilt

Upcoming episodes will see Corrie's characters come to terms with the losses suffered, and those involved battling to keep their secrets and murderous intent from being exposed.

With Billy's funeral approaching, following the long-running character, played by Daniel Brocklebank, being killed off in a devastating car crash Theo (James Cartwright) will struggle to bury his guilt.

While the character at first appeared to be helping Billy escape the vehicle he was trapped inside, which set on fire, Theo instead strapped him in and left him to die in the explosion.

Dealing with having taken a man's life, and battling his guilty conscience, Theo will stand over Billy's coffin to express how sorry he is for leaving him to die.

But as a door slams, and Theo races out horrified that someone has been watching him, it soon becomes clear that another person has overheard his confession.

Meanwhile, having made it through her premature labour, Shona (Julia Goulding) is living on the edge, praying that baby Harper will pull through as she awaits her life-saving surgery.

But as she and David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) cling on to hope, Shona will be blindsided by a blast from the past, as her sister Jodie turns up.

Jodie (Olivia Frances-Brown), who was introduced during the Corriedale crossover, was seen running through the woods with her wrists bound having escaped from a terrifying captor.

Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is dealing with the fall out of the return of her evil back-from-the-dead wife Becky (Amy Cudden) as she tries to win back the love of her life, ex-fiance Carla

The trailer teases that Jodie may not be all that she seems, and could be hiding something from her sister - and even after something from her.

Elsewhere, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) is dealing with the fall out of the return of her evil back-from-the-dead wife Becky (Amy Cudden) - as she tries to win back the love of her life, ex-fiance Carla.

Becky was thought to have died in 2021, but returned to Weatherfield during a storyline about police corruption that culminated in the Corriedale crossover.

Sending a note to Carla (Alison King), Lisa will beg for her to hear her out, but it's not yet known whether their romantic flames have been put out.

And Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), is now vulnerable having taken the rap for Carl (Jonathan Hardwood) for driving under the influence, and causing death.

Now Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) knows that she's lying, it looks like her fate might be sealed with a prison sentence, unless the truth can stay hidden.

The Corriedale episode saw the two worlds collide with major characters killed off, kidnapping, murder, a tumour discovery and Graham Foster returning from the dead.

Fans were in disbelief as Graham (Andrew Scarborough) appeared on screens, six years after he was killed by Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather).

Within minutes of the crossover episode, a huge car pile-up left characters fighting for their lives, before beloved vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brockelbank) became engulfed in a terrible explosion

Within minutes, a huge car pile-up left characters fighting for their lives, before beloved vicar Billy became engulfed in a terrible explosion.

Billy, who has been on the cobbles for 12 years, had been driving the mini van that was carrying Weatherfield residents back from Debbie's wedding.

Todd Grimshaw's abusive boyfriend Theo Silverton ultimately sealed his fate as he clipped Billy's seatbelt back in, before retreating to safety.

And the action didn't stop there as Emmerdale favourite Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was shot by a rampaging John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

Viewers feared Cain might have met his end, but later saw him in hospital where he received the news he could have cancer after doctors found a tumour when doing scans for his internal injuries. Cain was told he will need to undergo further tests.

John was hunted down by Cain and Aaron Dingle, Robert Sugden, Joe Tate and Coronation Street's Kit Green.

At the end of the sixty minutes, the serial killer lay dead in the woods. In a big twist, Robert's sister Victoria Sugden stood over him - but is she really the killer?

As for Graham, he spent most of the episode with his identity concealed, appearing only as a mysterious hooded figure in the back of a van with a woman called Jodie, who was tied up.

The one-off special saw the two worlds collide with Graham Foster returning from the dead

It was only at the end, Joe Tate appeared to get a glimpse of him from his hospital bed, before he slipped away.

David, who has epilepsy, collapsed, while his pregnant wife Shona watched in horror after her own waters broke.

Elsewhere, there was a call for emergency as Carl Webster's heart stopped beating and Becky Swain was arrested by Lisa Swain, in the back of an ambulance.

And fans didn't waste anytime in taking to X after it aired to praise the cast and crew for giving them 'the most special piece of tv', predicting the crossover would win a slew of awards and expressing their desire for another Corriedale in the future.

One praised: 'Standing ovation from my living room. What an episode', as another chimed in: 'That was the greatest hour of television I’ve ever seen. Everyone involved should be incredibly proud.'

'I think that was the single best episode of a soap I’ve ever seen in my life and I’m not even being dramatic,' someone else penned.

'My brain is going to take 3-5 business days to process this. So many questions. Absolute cinema. Everyone who worked on it take a f***ing bow,' wrote another.

Despite the huge success and fans tipping it to sweep the board when it comes to award season, drama executive producer Iain MacLeod previously ruled out any long-term plans for Corriedale.

'People love Corrie and people love Emmerdale and their distinct entities,' he told The Sun.

'They have their own tone of voice and their own sense of humour and their way of telling stories, and they wouldn't blend long-term at all.

'I think it's brilliant to bring them together for this but no, there are no plans to do anything similar in the future.  Sorry to be the killjoy, those of you who were hoping there was more.'
