GPTRACK50’s very silly-looking action RPG Stupid Never Dies is now due to launch in Fall 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, and yes, it really is called Stupid Never Dies. Frankly, points for committing to the bit.

The game stars Davy, a cowardly zombie who sits right at the bottom of monster society and suddenly finds himself with a purpose after discovering Julia, a frozen human girl he immediately falls in love with. Rather than doing the sensible undead thing and shuffling off into a corner, Davy decides he is going to bring her back to life and ask her out. Because apparently even the apocalypse cannot kill awkward dating energy.

The latest trailer gives a better look at Davy’s allies, enemies, and combat systems. The big hook is Style Eat, which lets Davy devour monsters and steal their abilities. Alongside his default Zombie Style, Davy can transform into 10 other monster forms, including Werewolf, Harpy, Golem, Vampire, Will-o’-the-Wisp, Cyclops, Snow Fairy, Merfolk, Lich, and Demon.

Each Style changes how Davy fights, with some built around speed, ranged attacks, heavy hits, freezing enemies, commanding skeletons, or manipulating enemy positions. GPTRACK50 has previously said each Style comes with multiple possible skills, giving players room to experiment rather than simply swapping between fixed transformations.

On top of that is Body Hack, which allows Davy to modify parts of his undead body with weapons and equipment. The trailer shows examples such as sword-like arm upgrades and missile launchers, which can also be used while transformed into other creatures. It is exactly the kind of mechanic that sounds like it was written on a whiteboard after someone said, “What if zombies, but also modular weapons?” and nobody in the room had the sense to stop them.

There is also Davy Burst, a temporary power-up that boosts his abilities and gives the action a more chaotic, disco-like visual punch. GPTRACK50 describes the game as a “Blazing Fast Growth 3D Action RPG,” which is a lot of words, but the general idea is fast combat, monster stealing, and a very oddball sense of humour.

Stupid Never Dies is being developed and published by GPTRACK50, the studio led by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, whose credits include Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Dragon’s Dogma. The studio has said the game is currently playable from start to finish and is in the polishing stage, with an estimated playtime of around 30 hours.

Stupid Never Dies is currently scheduled to release in Fall 2026 for PS5 and PC via Steam.
