Sharon Osbourne marked what would have been her 46th wedding anniversary with her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, in a heartfelt social media post.

Sharing a photo of the pair clasping hands to Instagram, Sharon called the day they said “I do” 46 years ago a “celebration of a love.”

“Today would have been our 46th wedding anniversary. Instead, it is a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish,” she wrote. “I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way. Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”

In the comments, thousands of followers praised the duo’s longstanding partnership.

“Sending you so much love. I have this digital photo frame that chooses photos and videos randomly from my feed and it often chooses photos from Ozzy’s birthday. And I have this one photo of you two holding hands and it always reminds me of the most beautiful love. An eternally beautiful love,” Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba wrote.

“Happy Anniversary….no matter where you are at or what you are doing his spirit will always be with you,” another fan added.

The two met in the early 1970s when Ozzy was a member of Black Sabbath. Sharon helped manage his career when he went solo. The pair married in 1982 and share three children together: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.

Ozzy’s death came two weeks after his final live performance

The rock legend shocked the music world when he died of a heart attack on July 22, two weeks after he took the stage for a farewell concert with his Black Sabbath bandmates at Birmingham’s Villa Park soccer stadium.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy has passed away this morning,” his family said at the time. “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

According to his death certificate obtained by the New York Times and the U.K. Sun, Ozzy’s cause of death was listed as resulting from cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease. He was also suffering from Parkinson’s disease.

Sharon thanked Ozzy’s legion of fans in an Instagram post in which she candidly spoke about having to navigate the loss of her husband.

“Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights,” she wrote on Sept. 12.

Sharon broke her silence on her husband’s final night during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored last December.

“It was like 4:30 and he said, ‘Wake up.’ I said, ‘I’m already bloody awake, you’ve woken me up,’” Sharon says. “And he said, ‘Kiss me.’ And then he said, ‘Hug me tight.’ I can’t help wondering if I should have, could I have? If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter.”

Sharon said that Ozzy went downstairs to do his daily workout when she heard yelling.

“He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone,’” she said.

“I knew instantly he’d gone. And they tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried, and it’s like, ‘He’s gone. Just leave him.’”

Doctors warned Ozzy not to perform gig

Sharon said that Ozzy’s doctors cautioned him that he might not survive if he went ahead with his farewell performance.

“He’d been so ill this year — terribly, terribly ill. And when we came to England and we were meeting with new doctors here, a new medical team for him, the main doctor said to him, ‘If you do this show, that’s it. You’re not going to get through it,’” she said. “We just sat there, and he said, ‘I’m doing it. I want to do it, and I’m doing it.”

But Sharon said that in the last weeks of Ozzy’s life he had been having visions and “seeing people that he never knew.”

“I said, ‘Well, what kind of ­people?’ He goes, ‘All different people. And I just keep walking and walking, and I’m seeing all these different people every night, and I go back there and I’m looking at these people, and they’re looking at me, and nobody’s talking.’ And he knew. He was ready,” she said.
