ICD Co., Ltd. has secured a display equipment supply order from China's BOE.

The South Korean display equipment maker said in a regulatory filing on July 8 that it signed a 29.57 billion won contract with Chengdu BOE Display Technology Co., Ltd. to supply display manufacturing equipment.

The contract value represents 15.01% of ICD's 2025 consolidated revenue of 197.04 billion won. The agreement runs from July 3, 2026, through June 20, 2027.

The equipment is believed to be a plasma processing system. According to China Bidding, the tool will be installed at BOE's Gen 8.6 organic light-emitting diode (OLED) production line in Chengdu. The facility is designed to manufacture OLED panels for IT products, including notebook PCs and tablets.

Plasma processing equipment is used as a surface treatment tool in OLED manufacturing. It cleans and modifies substrate surfaces by generating plasma from process gases inside a vacuum chamber, removing organic residue and microscopic contaminants while optimizing surface conditions for uniform organic material deposition. In OLED production, the technology is used before deposition because interface quality between organic layers and electrodes has a direct impact on device performance and manufacturing yield.
