A 23-year-old Las Vegas man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night in the east Las Vegas Valley, police said.

The crash occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on North Hollywood Boulevard south of East Bonanza Road, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release.

Investigators said a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was speeding south on Hollywood approaching Bonanza when the driver lost control and struck a GMC Sierra, causing the GMC to overturn onto its passenger side.

The driver of the Pontiac, the 23-year-old Las Vegas man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the GMC, a 20-year-old Henderson man, was taken to University Medical Center and treated for moderate injuries. A passenger in the GMC, a 21-year-old Las Vegas woman, was treated at UMC for minor injuries, police said.

The death was the 37th fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2026.
