BE:FIRST‘s “Missing” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, on the chart released July 8.

The digital single, released July 1, swept radio airplay, physical sales, downloads, video, and streaming to top the chart. The No. 1 marks BE:FIRST’s 12th chart-topper on the Japan Hot 100, following “BE:FIRST ALL DAY.” Also debuting at No. 52 this week is “Why, Why” — another track off the same release — giving the group two simultaneous entries on the tally.

Fourteen new entries debut on the chart this week. “Who’s Next” by GAN, aka Takanori Iwata of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, arrives at No. 8, driven by physical sales of 39,237 copies. The EBiDAN 15th-anniversary single track “Yes! Tokyo” debuts at No. 10, powered primarily by streaming and video points. Tomohiro Kamiyama’s “G.O.D.” enters at No. 11, landing at No. 2 for downloads.

Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter’s collaborative track “Bring Your Love” charts at No. 16, fueled by radio airplay points alone. D.O.L’s “Summer Freeze” debuts at No. 17, and Kis-My-Ft2’s “My Affection” at No. 20. YOASOBI’s “Orion” arrives at No. 25 with a balanced accumulation of radio, streaming, and download points. The elusive idol legend Akina Nakamori’s “Gomen to, Suki to,” debuts at No. 67, moving 11,652 copies for No. 7 on sales and placing No. 38 on downloads.

The release of Toy Story 5 in domestic theaters on July 3 lifts Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” from No. 93 to No. 43, with radio up 136% and downloads up 280% week-over-week. As summer approaches, Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Ao to Natsu” (the title means “Blue and Summer”) climbs from No. 79 to No. 44, with gains across all metrics led by streaming. aiko’s summer staple “Hanabi” (“Fireworks”) also returns to the chart for the first time in approximately 10 months, since September 2025.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
